Thanks to our Volunteers...

Volunteers have kept TBBCT on the road for more than 21 years!

Since 1987 our organisation has benefited from the generosity of community volunteers. Currently, we have approximately 120 active volunteers in our 3 shires. Most volunteers provide transport in their own vehicles for our clients to attend medical appointments.

We reimburse volunteer drivers 57c per km if driving their own vehicle on our behalf, and for any out of pocket expenses. We also have a small fleet of well equipped, late model cars, that are driven by volunteers on a roster basis. If you like driving, and have a roadworthy vehicle that will comfortably transport a frail or disabled person, or if you would like to drive our vehicle on a roster basis, please contact the office for more information.

We also have volunteer bus coordinators, and bus attendants. Our volunteer bus coordinators and attendants work with the bus driver to ensure the smooth running of the trip, the safety of passengers on and off the bus, and to plan social outings and shopping trips.

Without the generosity of community volunteers we couldn’t provide the level of services needed in our region. If you think you could work in a team to assist those in need we would like to hear from you! please contact the office  for more information.
